I am very blessed to have a gifted 4 and a half year old daughter. I have recently finished my undergraduate degree from Liberty University in Education and had planned to start teaching this coming school year, but the state of education is in dire trouble in my state so that will not be happening. Instead I have decided to homeschool my little girl. If she was still attending preschool she would have another year of preschool before her kindergarten year due to her birthday missing the cutoff date for enrollment.
I am very excited to get started and have been preparing the last few weeks while she finishes the month out at her preschool. I am checking out a ton of websites and trying to get a good list of kindergarten units to use since I plan to start her out in kindergarten. I am excited that I have the opportunity to spend this time with my daughter while being able to help her continue building on her love for learning. We are putting together a "school room" in a spare bedroom in the house, but I am also excited that we can move out of the classroom and learn in the world around us.
I can't wait to experience this journey... I pray that we are successful!!
